"What a lovely nose! The blackberry, smoke and earthy notes are beautifully interwoven - then there’s an equally impressive harmony of full, plush tannins and some real concentration. Needs until 2020 to give its best, but it's got many years ahead of it beyond that."
94/100

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, February 2018

Château Ormes de Pez (owned and managed by the Cazes family, from the pretigious Château Lynch-Bages in Pauillac) produces an opulent, full-bodied and powerful wine. The 2011 exhibits a proper balance between intense flavours of black fruit, spices, spicy tannins and long finish. If you like powerful, tannic and complex Bordeaux wines, this typical Saint-Estèphe is for you. Do not hesitate to keep a few aside, it is only starting to open up and will age very well.
