Procera is a gin producer based in Nairobi with the first craft distillery in Kenya founded in 2019 by Australian financier Guy Brennan. It is named after juniperus procera, also known as African Juniper being the only juniper species indigenous to the southern hemisphere. Whereas most gins are typically produced from common juniper (juniper communis), Procera was the first to be made from its namesake.

Procera Red Dot features Juniper Procera alongside 5 African peppers and oyster shell, locust bean, seaweed tea, mace, myrrh, honey, orange, lemon and corainder. This is a rich and bold gin that is designed to be used in mixed drinks, although it makes a wonderful G&T as well.
