"Primarily Grenache with Rolle making up the numbers
2020 Rock is a magnificent creation and this wine soars above the other in terms of structure balanced with innate elegance. The oak involvement is so well-judged and so well-integrated in this wine it is barely noticeable as a flavour but as a texture enhancer, it is second to none. Luxurious, aerial, composed and effortlessly grand, Whispering Angel’s big sister is a thrilling wine in 2020 and it is worth noting that this is not an aperitif wine but a serious accompaniment to fine food."

"Sacha Lichine’s dramatic, herby Rock Angel is one up from wishy-washy Whispering Angel with a lot more alcohol and oomph, care of oak-barrel ageing and a good splosh of syrah and rolle."
Jane MacQuitty, The Times, 6th June 2020
Rock Angel is a more sophisticated version of Whispering Angel. The grapes are grown at the Chateau d'Esclans vineyards and consisting of Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino). Owner Sacha Lichine and oenologist Patrick Leon (formerly from Chateau Mouton Rothschild) who sadly passed away late Dec 2018, have produced a truly magnificent wine. Scored 92/100 by James Suckling.
This wine has plenty of depth and a clean fresh hint of grapefruit, lemon and strawberry. Good structure with a long finish.
“What a stunner it is. A refined refreshing rosé.”
