Pinot meunier may be the least well known of the three main Champagne grapes but it’s a speciality of the Vallée de la Marne, east of Epernay. It forms 80% of this cuvée from the Olivier family’s steep south-facing slopes in the commune of Trélou-sur-Marne, and the wine is a plummy characterful delight.
