Chateau Lanessan, Haut Medoc 2003
£22.95 per bottle
ABV 12.5%
Chateau Lanessan is situated at the intersection of St Julien and Haut Medoc and the production is a traditional Bordeaux style, given that the estate is planted 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot with a smattering of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The 2008 Château Lanessan is herbaceous, rich, and fruity, with good tannic backbone. A good medium-bodied Médoc, it offers a great claret experience and at a very reasonable price. This would be a wonderful Christmas claret. Serve with turkey, goose or of course roast beef.
