90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc

Rich, smooth and supple with ripe red berry fruit on the nose and notes of spice.

Under the same family ownership since the 1400s, wine was not produced at the property until the late 1700s. The largest vineyard site in Pomerol at nearly 50 hectares, planted very rarely in one continguous parcel with a majority Merlot and a little of each Cabernet. There remain another 45 hectares left as forest and parkland. Fermented and matured in large concrete vats for 12-14 months ahead of a further ageing in barrel of various size and age for 6 months for 50% of the wine.
