Tasting Note
The wine has a well-structured, mild taste. A harmonious fruit palette is decorated with herbaceous strokes and refined notes of spices. The highlight of the taste palette is given by the strokes of cedar in combination with the tones of black currant. Long, beautiful aftertaste with tannin accents. You can drink this wine now and enjoy for another 10+ years if stored correctly.
About Producer
The founder of the Vinobles Romain Maison farm is François Maison, who organized his own wine industry in the Gironde at the end of the 19th century. Initially, Francois bought grapes from neighboring farms, and the wine produced at his winery was sold mainly to the north of France and to Belgium. Gradually, the business gained momentum, and Francois's son, Roman, joined the management of the farm. Together with his father, they acquired several vineyards in the vicinity and began to grow their own grapes for wines produced under the name "Romain Maison". Gradually, several more chateaux were acquired by the family, and the wine industry expanded significantly. Today, the family tradition of Roman Maison continues with the children and grandchildren of Francois: Luke and Mark. The property of the farm is located in four appellations: Promol, Saint-Emilion, Garve de Weir and Bordeaux, occupying an area of 190 hectares, of which 126 hectares are reserved for vineyards.
